The Filipovic family built their business from nothing. What started as a construction company grounded in hard work, personal commitment and an uncompromising approach to quality has grown into one of Victoria's most respected construction groups, spanning civil, structural and commercial delivery at scale.

Through I&D Group, they have spent over 30 years delivering some of Australia's most complex and technically demanding superstructures. That same discipline, the attention to structure, material and detail, carries directly into every residential and mixed-use project Pomalo develops. 

Now the next generation, Sonia Kustura and Shaun Filipovic, are front and centre, carrying those same values into Pomalo. They are the faces of this business: hands-on, detail-oriented, and as committed to getting it right as the generation before them.

Every Pomalo project begins with a question the family has always asked: would we be comfortable with our name on this?

That question shapes everything. Which sites to pursue. Which architects to work with. Which materials to specify. How long to spend getting the details right before committing to what goes in front of buyers.

The family's founder has spent decades walking some of the most complex construction sites in the country. Understanding structure. Reading quality. Knowing instinctively where corners are being cut and where they are not. That experience does not leave the room when Pomalo makes a decision. It informs every one.

The result is development that moves at the pace the project deserves, not the pace the market demands. Materials chosen for longevity. Spaces designed to be lived in for decades. Finishes resolved properly, because the people making the decisions have spent their careers understanding what properly means.
